Just sort of on a lark, we decided to go to a non-local hamfest this year.  We wanted to see how things were done in other parts of the country, so in April we went to the Des Moines, Iowa hamfest.  This is the largest hamfest in Iowa (that's what we were told), and it lasted all of four hours.  Quality hours, to be sure, but still only four hours. The Memphis Freefest was in Bartlett, TN in April, 2025.  Why is it called Memphis when it's in Bartlett?  Nobody knows.  

April 5, 2025 was the magic day for the Corinth Hamfest, held at the Crossroads Arena. I think there were more tables filled this year than I've ever seen before, even though there were still some tables available when the place opened at 8:00 AM.  We had a good crowd, with lots of folks visiting, looking for unobtaniums, and enjoying the food truck.  Our favorite lady was there with her homemade, personal-size pecan pies.  Fresh coffee was on hand most of the day, and it was good to see everyone.
