A lot of hamfests had their dates changed in 20024, including Jackson. Usually the end of January, the Jackson Hamfest moved to the first weekend of February in 2024, due to a venue scheduling conflict.
The new Trade Mart facility was a grand location as usual, Load-in for vendors started around noon Friday, and the doors opened to the public at 4:00 Friday and lasted until 7:00 that evening. Saturday the event was 8:00 until around 3:00 in the afternoon.
The flea market and vendor tables were very full, with only a few vendor tables not sold. The crowds were large and (in a refreshing change) remained large all the way through closing on Saturday. Most local hamfests see very little traffic after lunch on Saturday, but Jackson broke that mold this year.
The Jackson club did a great job of hosting this hamfest, and we're looking forward to returning in 2025.
