Telefunken 12AX7 Matched Pair, Western Germany, Hickok Tested
This is a matched pair of Telefunken 12AX7 tubes. They are old enough that they are branded "Made in Western Germany". Since Telefunken ceased tube production in the early 1980s, this is genuinely a vintage German tube.
Each tube has the Telefunken diamond cast in the bottom of the tube.
TESTING: These were tested using a pair of Hickok 533A mutual conductance tube testers. The mutual conductance (Gm) of both triodes is written on the side of each box.
NEED A MATCHED QUAD? Send me a message and I will be glad to see if I can put together a matched quad for you. Glad to do it.
WHAT DOES "MATCHED" MEAN? "Matched" seems to be open to interpretation, but here is how I define "matched". The Gm of Triode 1 of the first tube is within 10% of the Gm of Triode 1 of the second tube. The same holds true for Triode 2, the Gm of Triode 2 of both tubes must be within 10% of each other.
PHOTOS: The tubes in the photos are a sample only. Since I have multiple pairs of these tubes, the photos you see are probably not the ones actually in the photos. The photos are only one pair out of many.
PRINT: The print on each tube can range from strong and clear to nearly gone/gone. Even with all print gone, the Telefunken diamond on the bottom confirms it is a Telefunken. Each tube is printed with either Telefunken, Dynaco (Telefunken manufacture), or Fisher (Telefunken manufacture) name.
SHIPPING: Each tube will be in a standard tube box, and that will be inside a 32 ECT shipping box for safety. It will be padded appropiately. It's in my best interest for your tube to arrive in good condition, so I'll do my best to make sure that happens.
This tube ships quickly and safely from Mississippi.
