MFJ-941D Versa Tuner II, Made in USA, Sold For Parts Or Repair

Here is an older MFJ-941D Versa Tuner II built in Starkville, Mississippi.   

I have not tried to tune a radio with this one, because the SWR Sensitivity pot is locked up. And, by locked up, I mean it's too tight to turn.   I'm not going to force it, and I think replacing the pot is going to take more time than I want to invest in the tuner, so I am selling it as is, for parts or repair.   

The internals all look good.  The capacitors are smooth when turned, and the matching selector clicks solid. The three push-in switches (power/SWR select, 300W/30W select, and forward/reverse power select) click in and out as they should.  There is an ugly hole in the bottom of the case that was covered with a piece of black duct tape when I got the tuner.  I removed the tape so the hole (about as wide and long as a new #2 pencil eraser) would show in the photos.  

All solder joints look good.

If you have the time and patience to replace the SWR Sensitivity pot, you might have a solid tuner for not much money.  Or, you might have some great tuning capacitors and related parts. 

Actual weight is a tad over three pounds.  Shipping weight will probably be about four pounds.
