The MFJ-422 is different from later versions of the MFJ-422.

The information in this manual is complete, but the manual appears to be a copy of a copy, in that the printing looks faded.

When MFJ made the move to shut down it's manufacturing operation, FatCat.Parts was able to buy it's lifetime collection of product manuals. MFJ primarily printed these in two formats, large (8.5" x 11") and small (8.5" x 5.5"). The later manuals were, for the most part, printed in the MFJ print shop, and looked pretty sharp, clear, and professional. The earlier manuals were often photocopies of an original template. As products grew older in the product line, the demand for those manuals would decline, so rather than set up to print a new run of manuals to satisfy one manual request, the one original still on hand would be photocopied. The print run manuals were bound with saddle stitching (staples along the paper fold), and the photocopied manuals were usually held together with one staple in an upper corner.

The manual in this listing is part of the manual collection obtained from MFJ, and I've done my best to describe the manual's condition. Some of these manuals lived for many years in a filing cabinet, some were stacked in boxes, and some were just in piles.

In any case, the manual you will receive here is exactly the same manual you would have received if MFJ were still manufacturing, and you requested this manual from them.
