MFJ-259D HF/VHF Antenna Analyzer, Calibrated

This is an MFJ-259D antenna analyzer.  It is a factory demo/display unit, and has never been sold or used in service.  It was inspected and calibrated by the MFJ shop in May  2024, so it is 100% good and ready to go.  30 day warranty from FatCat.Parts.  

The most common use for this analyzer is for determining the resonant frequency points in an antenna feed.   Simply screw the antenna coax feed into the top of the analyzer, set the frequency band with the knobs on the front, and then turn the Tune knob.   It's amazing how SWR can change over just a few megahertz, and this analyzer tells the tale of how well your antenna works.

Built-in Ni-MH/Ni-CD charger circuit, battery saver, low battery warning and smooth reduction drive tuning.  Use 10 AAor Ni-MH batteries (not included) or 110-240 VAC with optional DC power supply (wall wart). Rugged, compact all-aluminum contruction in a handheld size.   This specific analyzer has been tested with both batteries and a wall-wart power supply.   Work great with both.  Batteries not included.  

The only cosmetic issue seen with this analyzer is some paint on the edges and corners is thin or rubbed through. There are two or three tiny scratches in the finish.  This can be seen in the photos.

NOTE ABOUT FACTORY DEMO/DISPLAY UNITS:

This is a new unit, in that it has never been sold or placed into service.  This is a fully-functional unit that was used as a static display either in MFJ's offices or as part of MFJ's hamfest display booth.  As such, it may have cosmetic scuffs or scrapes on the cabinet, it may have some extra, tiny holes (usually two at the most) in the cabinet from security brackets on the hamfest displays.  Hamfest displays often had a "show sticker" applied to the cabinet.  If so, those have been removed, and there may be some adhesive residue left whther the sticker once was.  Goo-Gone and rubbing with a thumbnail will usually remove all or most of the residue.  The residue is a cosmetic thing only.  Some case screws may be missing.  

The photos here are of the actual item being sold, not "stock" photos.  Please look closely at the photos, as those are the best guide to the cosmetic condition of the cabinet or case.  If you'd like, you can always repaint the cabinet with readily available matte-finish black paint.  

As a demo/display unit, there is no factory warranty, but there is a 30 day warranty from FatCat.Parts on items sold as New (Open Box). No factory box is included.

If the unit is listed as Parts Or Repair Only, then there is no warranty.  Parts Or Repair Only is used when we either have no idea about the functionality of the item, or we know there is a defect.   Known defects are alwasy spelled out in the listing.   Often items sold as Parts Or Repair Only work fine if placed into service, but there is no guarantee that will be the case.  It does happen, but I wouldn't rely on that when buying Parts Or Repair Only items.
