This is a clean-for-its-age R-5000 receiver. Covers AM, FM, amateur radio (ham) bands, commercial broadcasts, CB, and more. Made in Japan. Serial number is 20800056. I highly recommend downloading the manual and looking it over good before buying this receiver, as it will give you the fine points of this radio's capabilities.
On the front panel you will notice a switch marked HF/VHF. To listen to VHF, there is an optional module that has to be installed, so do not expect VHF on this stock R-5000.
The video was made using a 750' horizontal wire loop as an antenna. Almost any wire or beam can be used as an antenna, but be aware that the better your antenna is, the better your reception will be.
