Hammarlund HQ-170-A Ham Radio Receiver, Very Clean

Made in the USA, serial number 8040.

This radio is very clean for its age.  No dents or dings that I see, and under the hood it appears to be complete.  The funing dials turn fine, and it has all the correct, matching knobs.   That's what I know abaout this receiver.   This has been stored inside a house, not in a barn or shop. 

I have not plugged it up, or made any attempt to operate it.  The price reflects that lack of information.  

This weighs 39 pounds (without packaging), and is located in North Mississippi.   I'd really like to NOT ship it, but if you are willing to pay the cost, it will go UPS.  NOT USPS, NOT FEDEX.  UPS only.  

There is one other option for shipping.  UShip.com offers door-to-door pickup and delivery of large or heavy items, and they do not interline with other carriers.  That means the truck that picks it up here is the same truck that will bring it to your door.  I have used them several times for large radio gear, and so far they have done a good job. 

If this goes UPS, expect a shipping weight of 55 pounds.  

Because of its unknown condition, it is being sold as is for parts or for repair.
