The reason most 9V clips fail is because the contacts are in a soft, flexible cover, and the contacts literally pull out of the end.  It's really hard sometimes to get the clip off the 9V battery without pulling the contacts out of the end. 

Not with this clip.  This clip has a hard plastic end, and the leads come out of the center of the clip, not the end.  This allows for more room in the battery compartment, and less likelihood of lead damage from cramped quarters. 

The 6" leads are stripped and tinned, ready to connect.
